Google this week launched Chrome 28 for Windows, which boosts notifications within the browser. An update to Chrome for Android, meanwhile, also adds some translation upgrades.
Google pushed the latest version of Chrome out of beta this week, complete with revamped pop-ups, which now feature text and images, as well as the ability to respond to emails without leaving the window.
Missed a slew of notifications while taking a bathroom break? Open them all at once in the notification center (below), or disable pop-ups when you want some time to focus on work. Rich notifications are available now for Windows users; the Mac update is coming soon, Google promised.
This is also the first release of Chrome compatible with Blink, a new Web rendering engine that replaced WebKit.
On the mobile front, Chrome for Android also got an update, which added Google Translate. Previously only a standalone application, Translate is now rolled into the mobile browser for easier access. When loading webpages in another language, Chrome will automatically offer to translate the site into your native language, as it does on the desktop version.
Additionally, those who read in Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew have caught a break with the new user interface optimized for right-to-left (RTL) languages.
Google Chrome for tablets also got a boost to full-screen support: Begin scrolling, and the browser will hide the top toolbar to make room for more Web content.
