The Executive Chef of REX 1516, Regis Jansen, has announced that he is stepping down due to his cystic fibrosis, citing that he is not currently able to give 100% and thanking REX owners Jill Weber and Evan Malone.
In an effort to help their chef, REX 1516 has invented a new cocktail, the Snappy Pamplemousse, which will be sold to benefit the non-profit helping Jansen during this tough time, MANNA. The drink is: Art in the Age?s Snap, Combier Pamplemousse Rose, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, fresh orange juice and angostura bitters. 100% of the proceeds from sales of the Snappy Pamplemousse (which means grapefruit) will go to MANNA.
So go have some Snappy Pamplemousses, and pass along your best wishes for Chef Jansen.
